Students inform school community about exchange in Tampere, Finland
Four students: Wiktoria Pająk, Oliwia Jaworska, Oliwia Lauko and Krzysztof Witkowski who took part in international exchange in May informed the whole school community about this activity. They prepared the PP presentation with photos and comments. All other students were interested in the presentation and they asked some questions.

Many thanks for the project work
On June 22, 2018, during the end of year's ceremony commemorative diplomas and small gifts promoting the project were given to the students who were most involved in the Erasmus + GOAL project activities.
Common e-book entitled The story of Fatima
Another activity of the Erasmus + GOAL project! was creating an electronic version of the story. The task turned out to be quite a challenge for our students because they faced it for the first time.
The story was supposed to include the main themes of the project like the principle of fair play and Olympic values, making the right choices or tolerance.
The task of each country was continuing the story of Fatima - a girl from Syria and to making two illustrations for their own parts. The big surprise was the official and public presentation of the whole book during the short-term exchange in Finland. Each school participating in the project received a paper copy of it.

6th Project meeting with pupils - Tampere, Finland.
The Erasmus + "GOAL!" trip began atnight of May 19-20, 2018. Full of excitement we left the town square in Nowa Słupia around 1:00. After three hours of driving, we arrived at the F. Chopin airport in Warsaw. After completing the airport formalities, while looking for the right gate, we saw a standing grand piano. Mr Góra - the music teacher played one song to the great joy of the travelers. The flight was scheduled with a stopover in Kiev. At 6:00 a trip to Ukraine took place. Around 9 o'clock we had another plane, this time directly to Helsinki. After landing and picking up the luggage, we went to the train station and took the train to the city of Tampere.
We checked in at about 3 p.m. in the hotel. We were very surprised by the weather - we were expecting a Scandinavian cold, and we were welcomed by the southern heat. Because we were very tired of the hardships of travel and arrived first, we rested in hotel rooms for several hours.
At 19:00, the hosts welcomed us (pupils and teachers of Tesomajärven koulu) and students and teachers from partner schools from Croatia and Greece. We were shown around the nearest area. We learned important and interesting information about the city of Tampere. Our Finnish friends offered us a national delicacy - candies with liquorice, but to be honest we didn't like the taste of them. Together, we went to dinner, which was an opportunity to speak English.
The next day from 9.00 we had the opportunity to observe how the Finnish educational system worked. We were very impressed by the appearance and equipment of the host school. For us it was a "school of dreams". Students and teachers walked in socks or in soft footwear. Nothing unusual as the floors were padded with light carpeting, between the classes there were "sitting rooms" with comfortable sofas and armchairs. We were shown around the school and the walk was not short. At 11.45 we were invited to lunch. Following the Finnish colleagues, we took trays, cutlery and glasses, and we put together the appropriate portions. Fruit was always served with food, and water or milk could be chosen for drinking.
After lunch, a visit to Sarkanniemi was organized for us. Its. not only great amusement park with typical attractions but there was also an aquarium, a planetarium, a zoological garden, a tower towering 168 m high, from the top of which we could admire the beautiful view of the city, the surrounding forests and lakes. In the evening we had dinner together, and as a main course we could taste reindeer meat or smoked salmon.
On Tuesday, a welcome ceremony was held at the school. Each delegation from partner countries presented itself and presented a traditional or popular song. We sang '' Come, paint my world ''. We all liked the performance. Finnish pupils danced a few folk dances. After the official part, we treated the hosts with sweets brought from Poland, we distributed small presents - bookmarks and magnets- witches made by children from our school.
In the afternoon we went to Varrala, where we could experience one of the most important elements of Finish culture and cure for all illnesses - sauna. After a few-minute stay in the sauna, foloowing the natives, we cooled down in the cold water of the lake.
The next day theere was the main point of the visit and the culmination of all project activities - Great Sports Day. In a modern hall, each country presented a sport or game, and then taught the rest (over 200 people). We chose the 'Ringo' game, which was very popular with the participants. After familiarizing everyone with the rules of the game and after demonstrating it, we became the instructors giving instructions and then the judges. We also had the opportunity to learn other games or sports, such as Irish football, the Croatian variety of the 'bocce' game, or playing with the Kinball ball. An interesting experience was learning the Greek dance. Then we went to the school playground, where we were taught the rules of playing Finnish baseball. After the training, an international match was played.
On Thursday morning we took part in handicraft workshops. We made our own leather pouches which, when unfolded, can be used as game boards. Then we were shown around the museum complex Vapriikki - where we could get to know the flora and fauna of the region, modern art, the history of the city of Tampere. A big attraction was the computer games museum, in which not only we could look at consoles or computers, but also play popular games from the times when our parents were teenagers.
At 19:00 a ceremonial farewell dinner was held, during which the 3 years of the project were summed up. The coordinator of the whole project - Ms. Kirsi Erasvuo, gave a moving speech in which she talked about the funny or unusual events and insights she experienced during visits to partner countries. We also got souvenir gifts.
Friday was the last day of our visit. We visited the Moomin Museum, and then we took part in art workshops designing a cover for a book about Moomins.
We came back home at night, tired after a long journey, but with wonderful memories and experiences. We will always remember this time, these people and the place we hope to return to. We have understood that by using the English language we will communicate almost with the whole world.

Skype video meeting with Irish school
On 16th May the pupils of grade 7 took part in next unusual lesson of English - video meeting with their peers from the Irish school Scoil Mhuire na mBráithre in Tralee. At the beginning our students greeted their partners and presented the game which they used to play at the school corridors during breaks.
The Irish students introduced themselves and showed the basic rules and passes of traditional Irish sport - Gaelic football. To our surprise we could meet some students of Polish origin attending this shool. It was a very nice experience.
Small gifts for Finnish pupils
6 grade students with their Art teacher made small gifts for Finnish peers during art classes. These are bookmarks presenting Polish national colours and monuments of our region. They also prepared the Swietokrzyskie witches, made of modeling clay. Students of our school, taking part in a short-term exchange in Finland, will take these gadgets and hand them to project partners.
We hope the Finnish pupils will like them.

Sporty activities for breaks
While doing this activity we used "Older students teach younger ones"method. Older students prepared games that can be used during breaks to actively and safely spend time between lessons.
Especially the seventh-graders were engaged in this task - they played the role of teachers and taught their younger friends a movement game called "Kangaroos".
After explaining the rules and demonstrating the game, they invited the younger ones and they played together to the end of the break.
The elders admitted that the teacher's work was not as easy as they thought. They added that during this short time they had to explain, demonstrate, make the younger ones be quiet and even solve minor conflicts.
The younger students enjoyed playing with older ones, they felt important, and noticed by them. They approached the training with enthusiasm and interest. The proof was the fact that the "Kangaroos" were initiated by them during next breaks.
This method is an interesting form of work and a new experience for all who participated in activity.
